For “Innovation day”, on 8^th June in Rome, the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano has given to Nanook by Moroso the “Innovation Award” 2010.

Nanook, designed by Philippe Bestenheider, is an original woody chair produced by Moroso in 2009. Nanook is made with a peculiar technology in surfaces decoration (wood, metal, rubber and fabric) created by Kuei, an innovative company based in Coseano, near Udine.

Using Maravee, an eco-friendly and 100% environmentally friendly paint, it has been possible to implement a production completely “green”.

The Innovation Award, created by Italian Republic and COTEC (National Foundation for Innovation Technology) is one of the most important prize and is recognized the best experiences of innovation in the industrial, service and design, university, government and tertiary.
