The event, which will take place on February 24 in the famous Munich exhibition space, is dedicated to Living Divani’s most important collections.

Piero Lissoni, icon of Italian design and the company’s Art Director, will take part in the event.
The month-long initiative is organised in partnership with AD, and is open to the public.

The most representative pieces will include Piero Lissoni designs such as: Curve, Wall, Ile Club, Extrasoft, Dorian, Maja D, Chemise XL, Softwall, Ile Club daybed, Frog, Extrawall (outdoor version), and Ile coffee tables, as well as Arik Levy’s Wedge table, the Portico bookcase by Claesson Koivisto Rune, and coffee tables Hinge by Francesco Rota, and Bolle by Nathan Yong.

From the early 1970s to the present day, the firm has followed a clear course, maintaining an intensive dialogue with current trends, and becoming a point of reference within the design scene. The strategic alliance with Piero Lissoni has been key, and he has led the firm’s unique style since 1988.
Over the years, the range on offer has been developed and diversified – sofas, armchairs, beds and complements – towards a complete living environment.

A basic shape with a strong, conceptual presence: the Shelf bookcase line grows with the addition of new models in different sizes offering greater flexibility and functionality.

The proposal includes: two vertical models, a smaller square version and a horizontal model designed to be hung on the wall.

A bookcase produced in a limited edition of 300 pieces, to be placed along the wall or in the center of the room as a partition, it is marked by an X diagonal, thanks to which both the perimeter and the shelves are part of the bearing structure. With a strong graphic impact, this bookcase made in white acrylic material, gives the impression of having been “carved out” of one single block. Its preciousness is enhanced by it thinness, the design is underlined by the dividing panels within the different levels, whose parallel position to the X diagonals gives the whole structure a “relaxed effect”, as its creator likes to define it.

SOFTWALL

Designer: Carsten Gerhards and Andreas Glücker

A soft, functional, sculpture like piece, Soft Wall is the ideal solution for defining, dividing and storing. Designed to accommodate the objects we need only from time to time (which would otherwise take up space on small tables, on shelves and in containers), Soft Wall is also a dividing wall that can be used in both the home and office since it adapts to the requirements of the location where it is used. Crafted in felt and available in two sizes, it rests on a metal frame.

The collection of low tables Surface Italy B & B is composed of multipurpose furnishings that are characterized by shape simplicity and the natural palette of colors that make them suitable for any kind of furniture. Questa lampada nasce nel 2007 come reinterpretazione di Allegro, una collezione di luci composta da elementi in alluminio che si compenetrano gli uni negli altri conferendo alla sospensione un carattere di leggerezza e di incorporeità.

The Lazy’ 05 collection of chairs was designed by the famous Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola for B&B Italy.

It’s a very nice and original collection of sittings, thought to furnish with style and functionality both home and office.  The Lazy’ 05 collection, that includes chairs, seat and stools, has got a very young, dynamic and cool design.

Considering the materials, these sittings are characterized by a structure realized in metal with glossy chromium-plated finishing. Instead the coatings could be all one colour or multicoloured, according to the type of sitting, and easily removable through hinges or velcro.

The result is a wonderful and feathery sitting…where everyone wants to spend the night, relaxing and staying with the family!

Porro and Living Divani will promote a day entirely dedicated to Piero Lissoni, Italian design icon and art director for both the companies, in collaboration with their dealer “Ibermaison” in Madrid.

The celebration day will take place in Madrid on 27^th, January 2011.

During the years Lissoni hand and mind created for Porro factory a particular and identifiable image either in the products or in the showrooms. Moreover collaboration between Porro and Piero Lissoni introduced a production of essential, simple and elegant furniture elements, a careful study of new technologies and a continuous research on materials and finishing.
